Luctonians are delighted to announce that WLS IT Solutions are to become the new main sponsor at the club for the next three seasons.
Managing Director of WLS IT Solutions Dan Rowbottom, pictured (R) with Luctonians President John Amos, agreed the deal earlier this month to take on the main sponsorship of the club. The WLS brand is not a new one to Lucs, the owner of the company and regular Luctonians supporter, has also sponsored the club previously under the guise of WLS Solicitors and Wills and Legal Services. At this particular moment in time, where all forms of business are coming out of this National pandemic, this new arrangement will provide the club with some welcome stability through to the end of the 2023-24 season.
Based in Malvern, WLS IT Solutions, provide IT support services, digital marketing and business telephony services to both businesses and individual clients, across the UK. Dan said of the new partnership, “We are very excited to come on board as the main sponsors at Luctonians, at a time where people need local sports clubs in their lives more than ever. Speaking to the Chairman and the Staff, it is clear the club is extremely ambitious, whilst putting the good of the local community at the heart of everything they do. As a business, the club’s values align with ours, and we look forward to getting to know the members and supporters better and playing our part in developing the club further over the next three years.”
Luctonians Club Chairman Richard Williams, when speaking about the announcement said “We are hugely grateful for the support of all the local businesses who help provide the ongoing sustainability of the club, particularly at this time of uncertainty, following Covid and the challenges it has provided. The new alliance with Dan and WLS IT Solutions provides the club with a tangible boost, at a time where we were looking to pick up where we left off from pre-pandemic. Their support will allow us to continue developing sport for all across our local community and we are extremely thankful to have them on board.”
With Luctonians 1st XV, having not played a fixture since March 14th 2020, the prospect of the National League 2 North season starting again this coming September, will come as a welcome return for the men from Mortimer Park. Providing there are no further delays to reopening, Lucs are scheduled to open their campaign on the road to Hull RUFC on September 4th, before hosting their first home game in over 18 months, as Chester visit North Herefordshire on the 11th of September.
