Luctonians 2nd XV currently play in Counties 1 Midland West (South), after being level transferred for the 2023/24 season. This comes off the back of our 2nd XV winning the equivalent Northern division in 2022/23, but being denied promotion to Level 6 due to RFU regulations, in spite of winning 22 games out of 22 played.

The 2nd XV includes a mix of development and performance players, providing an avenue for young talent to prepare for the rigors of playing National League rugby, whilst getting to grips with the jump up from age grade rugby.

Our 2nd XV entered the main RFU league structure for the first time at the start of the 2022/23 season after winning the Midlands Reserve League Division 1 for the fifth time in 2021/22. The 2nd XV is coached by Brett Prior and Joff Bemand on a Saturday, but train with the 1st XV on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
