Tomorrow our 1st XV continues it’s testing start to the campaign, on the road at Hornets. The Weston-Super-Mare based side have a really decent home record on their 4G surface, although have lost their last three games there, if we take into account the end of last season and how they have started this time out. A 12-14 victory down there in January of this year was our last meeting, and you can expect a wholeheartedly competitive fixture tomorrow between our two sides.
At basecamp, the 2nd XV host Drybrook, looking to build on that decent start to the league campaign last week. Through pre-season and last week it appears our 2s boys are looking impressive with ball in hand, but will certainly want to tighten that belt defensively, as they get a run out on the 1st XV pitch tomorrow.
The 3rds travel to Stafford, looking to banish the memory of one of their toughest days last season, when the boys got stuffed in early October. They should take good heart from the last meeting between the sides though, as we ran out winners in an enthralling 59-33 contest at Mortimer Park in January, a victory that really kick-started the momentum for the 3s to go on that run to survival.
