There’s loads to look forward to this weekend, but we must start with our annual Charity Day, as we all come together to raise massive funds for some great causes.
This year our chosen charities are ‘We Are Farming Minds’ and ‘The Lemner’, alongside Lucs in the Community. The latter needs no introduction but the other two are phenomenal charities very close to the hearts of this place. We Are Farming Minds is a mental health charity, specifically aimed at supporting the agricultural community in Herefordshire – you can’t get closer to helping out so many of who we are as a club than that – more information on what they do is available here. Whilst The Lemner, is geographically on our doorstep, and is a new charity providing essential support to young people in our nearest town of Leominster – for more on their activities please follow here.
If you haven’t been to one of our charity days before then you are in for a treat. We raise an absolute shed load for wonderful causes.
So, the 1st XV, in their one-off shirts, to be auctioned afterwards, will be welcoming current league toppers, Clifton RFC and with both of us, so far, with an unblemished season record, someone’s record must go tomorrow. You will find the matchday programme HERE.
Making up the double header for you out on the pitches, are our 3rd XV hosting Barton Under Needwood, for what we think is the first meeting of our clubs at league level, getting their delayed league season up and running.
Meanwhile, on the road, the 2nd XV travel to Silhillians, for what will be a really tough opener in their Regional 2 Midlands West campaign, as honours were even in their two meetings last season.
