SATURDAY’S TEAM SHEET

SATURDAY’S TEAM SHEET

Tomorrow our 1st XV welcomes Cinderford RFC to Mortimer Park, with a 3.00pm KO.

After gaining an excellent four points on the road at Hinckley last time out, the coaches have been forced into four changes across the squad this week for the side to face Cinderford, due to unavailability and injury.

Up front, two experienced props return as Dan Powell comes in at tighthead to replace the unavailable Joe White, whilst Brad Smith returns to the bench after a lengthy injury layoff. Charlie Mason also remains on the bench, having been a late call-up last Saturday for his debut, covering for illness.

In the backline there is a re-jig with both of last week’s halfbacks out, Owen Randell unavailable and Tom Jones on the injury list. Ryan Whitnall comes in to make his 1st XV debut at scrum half, whilst Bryn Goodall moves from fullback to fly half.

Congratulations to Giles Morell, on his 50th 1st XV appearance, he moves from wing to full back, allowing Charlie Grimes to return to the starting XV, having missed out last week.

Congratulations also to James Wheeler, who wins his 100th National League cap for the club this Saturday, having made a huge impact at Luctonians after joining us in 2021, he retains the 13 shirt which he has been so effective in since moving to the centre last season.
