On Thursday 2nd June, the first day of the four days of celebration to mark the Platinum Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, the Luctonians Rounders League held a Fancy Dress Evening. A competition, with each team themed, followed by the ladies playing their usual league games in their costumes. Three supreme athletes from the Luctonians Pétanque Society had been invited to judge the proceedings, and the Chairman of their panel, in full regalia, presented the prizes. The event wound up with a picnic on the terrace.
